Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Oilfield Route mobile application (“App”), operated by GeoActivity (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Purpose of the App
Oilfield Route is a professional navigation and mapping tool designed to help users locate oil and gas wells, leases, and related field locations, including in offline environments. The App is provided for informational and navigational assistance only.
2. No Professional or Safety Guarantee
- The App does not replace professional judgment, on-site verification, or safety procedures.
- Map data, routes, and well information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
- Conditions in oilfield environments change frequently.
- You are solely responsible for confirming site access, road conditions, hazards, and safety requirements.
- Use of the App is entirely at your own risk.
3. Offline Navigation Disclaimer
- GPS accuracy depends on device hardware and environmental conditions.
- Route guidance may be affected by terrain, weather, access restrictions, or missing data.
- We do not guarantee that routes are safe, legal, accessible, or suitable for any vehicle or situation.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
- Oilfield Route offers paid subscriptions (weekly, monthly, and yearly).
- Payments are processed through your Apple App Store account.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store account settings.
- No refunds are issued for unused portions of a subscription, except as required by Apple or applicable law.
5. Intellectual Property
All content within the App — including maps, data compilations, branding, logos, text, and software — is owned by or licensed to GeoActivity and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the App
- Use the App or its content for unauthorized commercial purposes
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes
- Interfere with the App’s operation or security
- Attempt to access data or systems not intended for users
- Misuse or resell App data without authorization
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GeoActivity shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:
- Use or inability to use the App
- Navigation errors or data inaccuracies
- Loss of data, profits, business, or property
- Personal injury, vehicle damage, or operational losses
This includes situations involving remote locations, oilfield operations, or lack of connectivity.
8. No Warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
9. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services (e.g., data providers, analytics, payment platforms). We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or accuracy.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or if the App is discontinued. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
